Fredericton – On April 7th, David Coon, MLA for Fredericton South and Leader of the Green Party of New Brunswick brought forward for second reading Bill 5: The Green Jobs Act and Bill 10: An Act to Amend the Education Act. Both bills received unanimous support to move them forward.
“I am happy for the support of my colleagues in the house and that both of my bills will be moving forward,” said Coon. “This is great news for the people of New Brunswick and First Nations.”
Bill 5: The Green Jobs Act will be referred to the Law Amendments committee where committee members will be able hear testimony of witnesses on the content of the bill.
Bill 10: An Act to Amend the Education Act has passed 2nd reading and awaits consideration by the committee of the whole.
“I hope this all-party cooperation continues as my bills make their way through the legislative process so that we can see them both become law.”

Fredericton– Le 7 avril, David Coon député de Fredericton-sud et chef du Parti vert a présenté le projet de loi 5 intitulé Loi sur les emplois verts et le projet de loi 10 intitulé Loi modifiant la Loi sur l’éducation à l’étape de la deuxième lecture. Les deux projets de loi ont reçu un appui unanime de tous pour les faire avancer.
« Je suis très content avec l’appui démontré par mes collègues en chambre et que chacun de mes projets de loi avanceront, » a dit M. Coon. « C’est une bonne nouvelle pour le Nouveau-Brunswick et les Premières Nations. »
Le projet de loi 5 intitulé Loi sur les emplois verts ira au comité permanent de modification des lois où les député.es auront l’opportunité de convoquer des témoins à son sujet.
Le projet de loi 10 intitulé Loi modifiant la Loi sur l’éducation a passé l’étape de la deuxième lecture et sera examiné par le Comité plenier.
« J’espère que cette coopération multi partisane continue tous au long du processus législatif afin que l’on puisse un jour voir mes projets de loi devenir loi. »
